“You’re weird.” Touched

emily nicole is the creator of the mental health series Complexities of Human Emotions, the author of the novel Complexities of Human Emotions- Touched, and was featured in the Poets and Writers Anthology in 2001.

Born and raised in the Woodlawn neighborhood of the South Side of Chicago, emily studied Pre-Med, Psychology and later on Journalism during her collegiate career. She began her journey with writing in 2000-where her focus was on journaling, poetry, short stories, and song lyrics. It wasn’t until 2009 that she started writing seriously for publication. In 2010, emily was inspired to write a mental health series; “Complexities of Human Emotions,” which follows characters dealing with mental health struggles raging from depression, to trauma to multiple personality disorder. Her first novel, Complexities of Human Emotions-Touched was published in December of 2020. Cutters is the second installment of the series. When emily is taking a break from writing, she can be seen helping others in her neighborhood, spending time with family and friends, and traveling with her mother and sister. Her special interests are animals, art, writing, music, adventure, and anything creative.
