“I’m nervous. Scared and cold.” – Touched

Complexities of Human Emotions(created in 2009), began as a cover for what the title of my first completed novel actually was.

I was in church-after church-and the pianist asked me what the title of what I’d been working on was. I wasn’t comfortable with revealing the title at that time, so I hesitated before the words, “Complexities of Human Emotions,” flowed smoothly from my mouth.

What began as an replacement title, soon became a series. Complexities of Human Emotions, or COHE, began as a mental health series. However, the more I wrote and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that Complexities of Human Emotions is more than mental illness. It’s about the varying degrees of our own emotions. My response to a situation is going to be completely different from someone else. The Complexities of Human Emotions series is about the characters actions following past traumas, current trauma, mental illness, and their own idiosyncrasies.
